A sewer pipe has burst in the Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem’s Old City in the Holy Land. The Jerusalem Municipality sends in some workers to mend the burst pipe. So steeped in history is this ancient district that a team of archaeologists accompany the workers. As they dig, the laborers uncover a flight of steps. And it’s as well that the archeologists are in attendance since this stairway will turn out to have profound historic significance for both Jews and Christians.
